Arachnoiditis

  • What is the cause of Arachnoiditis?

Arachnoiditis is a chronic thickening of coverings of the nerve roots and spinal cord within the spinal canal. It may be a consequence of a ruptured intervertebral disc, or of spinal surgery, or of bleeding around the nerve roots. There is debate as to whether Myodil, previously used to perform myelography, causes arachnoiditis.
