Can I donate in cryptocurrency?
We are now accepting cryptocurrency donations.
Donating crypto is one of the most efficient ways for individuals to support causes that matter to them.
How do I include a gift in my will?
A gift in your Will is a very special way to continue to support the work we're able to fund.
Your gift will help us provide funding for more research projects, more training for future neurologists and neuroscientists, and provide hope for someone who is living with a neurological disorder. By including the Neurological Foundation in your Will, your thoughtful decision will leave a lasting effect on generations to come.
Claim your tax online
There’s no need to complete a paper form this year because you can now claim donation tax credits online in a myIR account, Inland Revenue’s secure online service. It'll mean that you receive your refund much sooner. Your receipts can be electronic receipts, or photos or scans of paper receipts and be uploaded anytime during the year.
Donation safety - scam awareness
We're aware of a scam circulating where test transactions are being debited from people's bank accounts in the Neurological Foundation's name. Please rest assured, this is unrelated to us, but is unfortunately outside our control. While collaborating with banks and CERT NZ, we urge vigilance in monitoring bank statements for unusual activity. If you notice any unauthorized or suspicious transactions, please contact your bank directly.
We also know that some of our supporters are being contacted by phone by people claiming to represent the Neurological Foundation and asking for donations over the phone. We do not currently run a phone fundraising service, and while we can accept payment over the phone when a supporter calls us, we would not proactively contact a supporter to request this. Should a supporter receive a call which claims to be from us and they are unsure about the authenticity, they can call us on 0508 BRAINS to confirm any details with us.
