Memory on the Mind

Memory is one of the most important fields of study in neuroscience. Many brain disorders, from dementias such as Alzheimer's to stroke and traumatic brain injury, result in memory loss.

Dr Owen Jones has spent over a decade researching memory. He joined Anna Thomas on RNZ National to discuss his work on frontotemporal dementia, made possible with a grant from the Neurological Foundation of New Zealand. Sadly, there’s no cure yet for this disease. However, there are steps you can take to lower your risk. Tap on the link below to find out more.

Dr Jones also hosted an online event to help celebrate Brain Awareness Month 2023. To learn about Dr Jones' work in more detail, watch it in our lecture library today.
